As of this morning (Friday, March 20) beverages containing THC can only be sold in licensed marijuana dispensaries, not in groceries, not in C-Stories. not in any normal bev/al location.

The bill restricting the sale of THC beverages was passed by the Ohio legislature last year and signed into law by Gov. Mike DeWine in December. At the time he said compared to alcohol, "it's much more difficult to determine exactly what impact this would have on a person. So, I don't think that they're a great idea. I think they create problems."

Some brewers and wine and spirits wholesalers have pushed for legalized sales of THC beverages as a solution to declinging sales of beer, wine and spirits, rather than working to improve the sales of their own products. Ironically, beer appears to be showing signs of a comeback.
