# WSWA Salutes Wholesalers' Truck Drivers 'Who Keep Wine, Spirits Moving'

**Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America** marked National Truck Driver Appreciation Week by saluting the more than 7,000 truckers across the country working for wine and spirits wholesalers. 

These men and women are an essential part of the wine and spirits supply chain, making safe, reliable deliveries that keep restaurants, bars, retailers and other businesses stocked for the customers and communities they serve.

“Behind every wholesaler delivery truck is a driver who plays an important role in keeping our industry moving,” said **Francis Creighton,** president/CEO. “Our drivers are often the face of our members’ businesses in their communities. They work long hours, navigate all kinds of conditions and make sure products are delivered safely and reliably. We’re grateful for the work they do every day.”

For many family-owned, multigenerational wholesalers, drivers are more than employees – they are trusted members of the communities they serve, WSWA said. By building relationships with customers, providing dependable service and representing their companies with professionalism at every stop, they help strengthen the local connections that define the wholesale tier, it added.
