Champagne Henriot Introduces L’Inattendue

The name is French for "The Unexpected" ($155).  Cellar master Alice Tétienne and eight generation Henriot Gilles de Larouzière Henriot recognized it was a wine that was so exceptional it deserved a single bottling. L’Inattendue pays tribute to the founder Apolline Henriot and her desire to cultivate the diversity of her terroirs.

“L’Inattendue is the most beautiful tribute we can pay to our founder, Apolline Henriot, and her desire to cultivate the diversity of her terroirs, originally located on three crus,” says Gilles de Larouzière Henriot, eighth generation of the Henriot family (who with cellarmaster Alice Tétienne assessed that the wine was so unexpectedly exceptional that it deserved a single bottling). “We’re excited to share our newest creation inspired by Apolline's vision, with the world.”
