Joe Anderson, cofounder and chairman of Benovia Winery, hired Josh Trowbridge as general manager and promoted Adolfo Hernandez to winemaker from associate winemaker.

Longtime winemaker Mike Sullivan has stepped down from his role but will continue as consulting winemaker, focusing on developing a custom crush plan, new grape contracts, and collaborating on blending trials.

Trowbridge most recently was CEO and general manager of Benicia-based Tonnellerie Ô, a cooperage serving top wineries in California.

The appointments will allow Anderson and his wife, cofounder Mary Dewane, to step back from daily management.
