Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits reports third quarter sales were 6.1% lower than a year earlier.
In Marie Brizard's home country of France, sales were down 4.2% from the like 2022 period, despite price increases. Sales of the group's strategic brands fell as the group cut back on promotional spending and benefits to consumers.
International sales were down 7.6% as regional dispareities widened. In the U.S., there was a further declined in what Marie Brizard terms a "challenging market environment marked by falllng depletions and inventory destocking by (MBWS) importer.
