Mount Gay Launches Madeira Cask Expression

It's the fifth limited-edition in the exclusive series that celebrates over 300 years of expertise and innovation.

Crafted by the distillery’s Master Blender, Trudiann Branker, Madeira Cask pushes the boundaries of rum-making. Using only column distilled rums, Branker placed the liquid within the fortified wine in seasoned Madeira wine casks in order to see how the rum aged over time.

A step away from Mount Gay’s traditional blend of column and pot still rums, the liquid presented a beautifully complex profile not often found in column distilled rums. The result is a velvety and generous blend that unfolds with every sip. This rum evolves over time, revealing layers of flavor over the course of a tasting journey, the company said.

Madeira Cask will be available nationwide beginning this month with an SRP of $220 for 700ml bottle.
