For the past 21 years, Brown-Forman Corp. has celebrated its founding by George Garvin Brown by releasing Old Forester's Birthday Bourbon.  In 1870, George Garvin Brown was the first to seal his whisky, Old Forester, in a glass bottle. To commemorate his birthday, the First Bottled Bourbon annually releases a limited edition, vintage-dated expression, Birthday Bourbon.

This year, for the first time, there will be no in-store distillery release on Sept. 2 as the brand has done in past years. Instead, the brand will be hosting a sweepstakes from Aug. 24 – Aug. 31 to open up the opportunity for national bourbon lovers to purchase this bottle.
