Ron Rubin Winery Becomes B Certified

Ron Rubin Winery in Sonoma’s Russia River Valley becomes the latest winery to join the growing B Corp Certified movement. Established by B Lab in 2006, the B Corp community (B = Benefit for All), is a non-profit network dedicated to “harnessing the power of business, and balancing profit for the purpose of transforming the global economy for the benefit of all people, communities, and the planet.”

With the addition of Ron Rubin Winery, the B Corp network now stands at 5,538 for-profit companies, in 84 countries and spanning 157 industries. Wineries account for 24 of the B Corp community.

B Corp Certification entails operating in accordance with rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. This includes participation in policies, tools, and programs aimed at shifting company behavior, culture, and structure, with the goal of creating an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy.B Corp companies make a commitment to being a long-term collective force for good. To that end, rigorous assessments and verification are undertaken every three years.

"It’s our hope that becoming part of the B Corp movement will encourage others like us to join. And if you’re interested in learning more, and we can be of help, I hope you will get in touch!” said Ron Rubin.
