Shady Lane Cellars Sponsors 'Wine Run 5K'

The first  Shady Lane Cellars Wine Run 5K, will be Sunday, Aug. 10, in Suttons Bay, Mich. 

“Several of our staff members participate in locally promoted races so it was a natural fit both from an employee standpoint, property capacity standpoint – and tying award-winning wine with a fun outdoor run!” said Angela Turner, events coordinator. 

The timed 5K winds through the 52-acre vineyard in multiple loops. It is open to those who plan to walk or run the course as well as volunteers. All participants receive a race tee shirt, collapsible wine glass, wine glass-shaped medal and chip-timed race bib. A wine pour is included for each race at the finish line.

The wine run will begin at 10 a.m. Cost is $15 for volunteers who also race and $35 for racers. The cost will increase as the event nears. Register online here.
