Washington State LCB Nixes Sale of Oregon Wines in Tasting Rooms

If the wines weren't produced in Washington State, Washington State wineries can't sell them in their tasting rooms, the Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board ruled.  It rejected a petition to allow the sale of wine produced by Washington State wineries in their Oregon wineries.

In rejecting the Washington Wine Institute's petition, the state board said the issue conflicts with state law that must be addressed by the legislature.

The Washington Wine Institute's executive director indicated the trade group would seek legislation to permit the change.
