Bud Light Assailed for Tie to Trans Influencer

Transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney, 26, shared a sponsored post on her Instagram account last Sunday (4/2) promoting Bud Light’s March Madness contest.  That triggered a flood of videos posted online showing consumers dumping their Bud Light products in trash bins and down sinks as well as violently destroying can of the beer.

Mulvaney now has more than 10 million followers on TikTok and 1.7 million on Instagram.  She gained fame last year when she chronicled her gender transition in her “Days of Girlhood” TikTok series.  She was invited to be among a group of advocates who met with President Biden at the White House.  She discussed transgender issues.

That led Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) to tweet a video of Mulvaney and write, “Dylan Mulvaney, Joe Biden, and radical left-wing lunatics want to make this absurdity normal.”  Caitlyn Jenner, another transgender woman, responded: “@MarshaBlackburn thank you for speaking out and having a backbone — one of the best senators we have. Let’s not ‘normalize’ any of what this person is doing. This is absurdity!”

As for Bud Light, there wasn’t any immediate comment on the brewhaha.
