Bombastic recently expanded from Idaho and is now available in Washington State, Montana and Utah. Oregon is the next state the company plans to enter. Along with the expansion, Bombastic was awarded three medal at the North American Brewer's Association's International Beer and Cider Awards.
Mann was instrumental in getting Idaho to legalize partner brewing, where a brewery develops a recipe and has several other breweries actually produce it. He had to; in the beginning Bombastic was crafting its own beer30 to 50 gallons a time in a garage-style facility near the Coeur d'Alene Airport. Mann says partner brewing lowers overhead, lets Bombastic produce in greater quantities, and helps other breweries augment their revenue.
