Red Rooster Winery Closes
Red Rooster Winery ssaid it was closing, a victim of an unprecedented winter storm that damaged Red Rooster's Okanagan vineyards.
Westbank First Nation Chief Robert Louie attributed the loss to a deep freeze in December 2022. "“I have heard of grape growers who have lost 100 per cent of their grape crops,” Louie said.
A report by Wine Growers British Columbia forecast a potential crop reduction of 39% to 56%.
