Responsibility.org Sponsors Webinar on Hemp Beverage Hazards

Responsibility.org is hosting a webinar on what parents and law enforcement need to know to keep kids safe as hemp beverages become more visible and available. Topics will include:

What impairing hemp beverages are and how they differ from traditional cannabis and CBD products and from alcohol beverages
• Why these products are concerning for youth
• The legal gray areas that allow these products to be sold outside of licensed dispensaries
• What parents can do to recognize these products, talk to their kids, prevent accidental ingestion, and advocate for safer communities
• What law enforcement can do to keep roads safe and identify impaired drivers

Speakers will include Heather Barkholtz, Assistant Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy and the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene, and Officer Jayme Derbyshire, Coordinator for the Chemical Test for Alcohol Unit, Montgomery County Department of Police (Maryland).
