Dave Turo succeeds Tony Truzzolino as EVP/managing director for Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits' Suntory Global Spirits portfolio, on Jan. 5.

Turo joins SGWS from Suntory Global Spirits where he was U.S. Chief Commercial Officer. SGWS said Turo's more than 20 years at Suntory Global Spirits, established history of driving results, and a strong understanding of Southern Glazer’s position him to lead with innovation and collaboration across the Company.

Truzzolino, who officially retires March 31, joined SGWS as SVP sales for what was then the Company’s Beam portfolio. Prior to that, he served as the VP/General Sales Manager for the Beam Global Spirits & Wine business. Before joining Beam, Truzzolino worked at Paterno Wine Importers and Gallo Wine Distributors of New York.
