Tsillan Cellars Sold to Local Investors
Tsillan Cellars, Chelan, Wash., has been sold to a group of local investors led by Ronan and Gillian Walsh, full‑time Manson residents deeply rooted in the valley who say they are committed to carry forward the legacy created by founder Dr. Bob Jankelson. Terms weren't disclosed.
Ronan and Gillian Walsh, originally from Ireland, moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2000 and have been full‑time residents of Manson since 2020. Ronan serves as a commissioner and volunteer firefighter with the Manson Fire Department and coaches track at Manson High School. Gillian runs communications for the Manson Fire Department and has worked in local wine tasting rooms. Their children attend Manson High School.
“It was my vision 25 years ago to create a truly exceptional wine destination on the South Shore of Lake Chelan,” said Dr. Bob Jankelson, founder of Tsillan Cellars. “Over the years, my team and I created a reputation for outstanding wine and food hospitality, and when I was introduced to Ronan and Gillian, I knew Tsillan would continue to thrive in their good hands. I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful support of the community, staff, and loyal guests that made the vision a reality. Thank you.”
Jankelson will remain at Tsillan Cellars as an ambassador, continuing his close relationship with the team, the wine club, and the broader community.
