TWE Launches Luxury Lifestyle Blend

Treasury Wine Estates launched Tapestry, a new luxury lifestyle blend that brings together the unique textures and flavors of Paso Robles. The debut wine, 2021 Tapestry Paso Robles Red Blend (SRP: $24.99), is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Petite Sirah, now available by the bottle and the glass nationally.

“As the luxury wine sector surged by 12 percent in the past year*, we recognized an opening to celebrate the distinctive terroir of California’s fastest-growing wine region,” said Carl Evans, chief marketing officer of Treasury Americas.  “At the same time, our aim at Treasury Wine Estates is to resonate with a diverse array of wine enthusiasts, each bringing their own unique backgrounds, perspectives, and narratives. Tapestry weaves these objectives together beautifully.”

Sourced from vineyards in both the eastern and western halves of Paso Robles, Tapestry Winemaker Megan Twitchell, also assistant winemaker at Beaulieu Vineyard (BV), was encouraged to explore the diverse microclimates and biodiversity that Paso Robles offers.

“I’ve learned the art of combining different wine varietals to create a single wine full of the complexities Napa Valley has to offer. With Tapestry, I’ve applied this winemaking technique to the growing Paso Robles region to weave a new winemaking story.  The resulting wine bursts with ripe blueberry and blackberry aromas with hints of sage, lavender, and cedar. It’s rich and smooth on the palate and balanced by structured tannins and fresh acidity.”

The wine’s label represents a metaphorical and literal tapestry, with its detailed design and rich hues evoking the textile. Flora and fauna depicted – poppies, mustard flowers, finches, and even a California King Snake – are pulled right from the Paso Robles vineyards woven together to create this exceptional wine.

A Tapestry Central Coast Sauvignon Blanc will launch in Spring 2024.
