Calif. Bill Would OK Wine Sales at Farmers Markets
A bill pending in the California State Senate would allow boutique and small-scale vinemakers the opportunity to sell at certified farmers markets. State Sen. John Laird, the prime sponsor, said the intention is to help small winemakers as wine consumption plummets. Currently, only estate wineries can sell at farmers markets.
