Classic Wines of Calif. to Rep Quintessential's National Portfolio in Calif.
A "significant portion" of Quintessential's California wholesale business will transition to Classic Wines of California, effectively tripling the sales resources supporting the portfolio in the state, effective Sept. 1.
Under the new structure, Quintessential will become a supplier to Classic Wines for most of its national portfolio in California, giving those brands access to Classic's statewide sales and distribution network and established relationships with chains and key accounts.
"This partnership gives us the opportunity to dramatically expand our reach in California while staying focused on what Quintessential does best: building exceptional wine brands and strong, lasting relationships with our suppliers and customers," said Dennis Kreps, co-owner of Quintessential.
"Classic brings tremendous scale and reach across California, while Quintessential brings an outstanding fine wine portfolio, deep connections within the fine wine community and a highly experienced team. Together, we can create a stronger platform for our suppliers, customers and future growth," he added.
Casey Tedd, Chief Commercial Officer of Bronco and President of Classic Wines of California, said:
"Quintessential has built an impressive portfolio and a reputation for bringing distinctive, high-quality wines to the U.S. market. We see a tremendous opportunity to bring those wines to more customers across California. The combination of our teams, relationships and capabilities gives us a strong foundation to grow these brands and deliver even greater value to the market."
