Frank Family Vineyards Removes 70,000 Pounds of Plastic from World’s Waters
Frank Family Vineyards said its “Frank for a Cause” 2024-2026 charitable giving campaign partnership with 4ocean has helped remove 70,000 pounds of trash and plastic from oceans, rivers and coastlines worldwide.
4ocean is a leader in the global clean ocean movement, dedicated to ending the ocean plastic crisis. Since its founding in 2017, the organization has recovered more than 50 million pounds of plastic waste and other man-made debris through its large-scale cleanup operations.
Through sales of Frank Family wines and exclusive 4ocean “Frank for a Cause” packages, the winery’s support over the past two years has helped fund the cleanup of 114 beaches, rivers and coastlines worldwide and sustain the employment of 44 full-time boat captains and crew members dedicated to ongoing cleanup operations. The initiative reflects Frank Family Vineyards’ long-standing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
“We were truly touched by the support we felt in every community we visited over the last two years. People showed up with such generosity, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to make a difference. That’s exactly why Leslie and I founded the Frank for a Cause program nearly 10 years ago, to create opportunities for people to come together around something bigger than themselves,” said Frank Family Vineyards Founder Rich Frank.
