Judd's Hill Winery Another Victim of Continued Downturn in Wine Consumption
Judd's Hill Winery is winding down its winery operations and will not longer produce custom wines or operate a winery facility.
"The continued downturn in wine consumption and sales has made it no longer pssible for us to continue operating," the winery said in a letter to at least some of the winery's vendors.
At least one grape supplier received a notice that, “After months of pursuing every available financial solution, we are very sorry to share that we are unable to satisfy the outstanding balance due for our grape purchases in cash.”
Vendors were offered a choice of bulk wine, finished wine or have wine bottled by Small Press Wines "now opeerating at our former facility."
The Judd's Hill wine brand will continue "on a smaller scale," the winery said.
