Pendleton Whisky Unveils Limited-Time Heritage Collection: Western Barware Spanning Centuries

Pendleton Whisky, the whisky born from one of America's most iconic rodeos, unveiled The Pendleton Whisky Heritage Collection – a first-of-its-kind celebration of the craftsmanship, stories and traditions that have defined the American West for generations.

Making its debut in person where Pendleton Whisky's story began – the Pendleton Round-Up – the limited-time collection features rare, historic Western drinking barware (including steer horn drinking vessels and circa-1800s pewter whisky cups), one-of-one commissioned artwork and exclusive Pendleton Whisky x Pendleton Woolen Mills barware collaboration pieces, all inspired by Pendleton Whisky. Additional new, fully refreshed collections will debut in Fort Worth, Texas. in December and at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado in January 2027.

The Pendleton Whisky Heritage Collection's centerpiece is a custom, one-of-one sterling silver decanter commissioned exclusively for Pendleton Whisky by acclaimed Western silversmith Beau Compton. Born to a ranching and rodeo family and now raising a sixth generation on the family ranch in Arizona, Compton is widely recognized for heirloom-quality silverwork. His commissioned decanter pays tribute to Pendleton Whisky's origins at the Pendleton Round-Up through hand-sculpted sterling silver scrollwork and the rodeo's iconic bucking horse, rendered in 10-karat rose gold.

"The best pieces tell a story long before you ever pick them up or fill them up," said Compton. "I wanted this vessel to feel like it belonged to Pendleton Whisky's history – as though it had already been passed from one generation to the next. Like the traditions that inspired it, it's meant to be used, shared and eventually handed down."

The first iteration of the Pendleton Whisky Heritage Collection also includes six vintage drinking vessels sourced from collectors and artisans across the American West, including:

• A handcrafted sterling silver buffalo skull flask by acclaimed Montana silversmith Carol Helvey-Woolsey
• A traditional Wyoming steer horn drinking vessel finished with a leather handle and cork-resin base
• A handcrafted cowboy boot decanter and cast-iron coaster by Dallas-based artist Jan Barboglio
• An engraved Montana flask linked to respected Helena coach George Arthur Harper
• Stacked pewter drinking cups in their original leather carrying case, dating to the cattle-drive era of the 1800s
• A black glass horse-head decanter featuring hand-etched Western imagery

Completing the collection is a limited-edition collaboration with the heritage brand Pendleton Woolen Mills^®, featuring vintage-inspired barware and accessories. Each piece features wool woven in Pendleton Woolen Mills' century-old mill in Pendleton, Oregon, including wool-lined wooden bar trays, leather-trimmed wool barware rolls, wool and leather-lined coasters and wool cocktail glass wraps with antique brass snaps. The collection will bring the spirit of The Pendleton Whisky Heritage Collection into everyday Western-inspired occasions at home.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sales of the Beau Compton commission and collector vessels will benefit the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, helping preserve the stories, artistry and traditions that inspired the collection. Starting bids range from $65 to $9,500, with bidding open for the initial collection through October 6 at PendletonWhisky.com, with details on subsequent auctions to follow.
