Success of Busch Light Apple Leads to Return of Busch Light Lime
Busch Light Apple sold 2.3 million cases in just six weeks following its recent return to retail shelves, a 108% increase in volume from last year, Anheuser-Busch is now bringing back Busch Light Lime in 12-, 24-, and 30-packs of 12oz cans across 28 states.
Last year, in the 25 states where it was available, Busch Light Lime sold 288,000 cases in its first month, 5.3x more than the closest competitive beer innovation.
Busch Light is the No. 1 beer brand in 10 states. all of which will carry Busch Light Lime: Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
Nationally, Busch Light Apple ranked as the No. 10 beer brand by volume in national Circana multi-outlet + convenience channels for the last four weeks through May 17.
One in four Busch Light Apple shoppers are first-time beer shoppers, with 77% of Busch Light Apple sales incremental to the beer category since launch.
In the last four weeks, 13.1% of Busch Light Apple shoppers were 21–27-year-old legal drinking age adults, which is more than double the average of 21–27-year-old legal drinking age beer shoppers.
