Craft was the second largest contributor to beer sales by value in the 12 months to end-May, according to CGA by NIQs On Premise Measurement Service. Distribution points have dropped by 7.7% in the last year, leading to a 2.7% decline in craft beer sales CGA said.

Malt-based hard lemonade posted impressive gains in the 52  weeks ending June 17 with dollar sales up 7.5% while case unit sales inched ahead 1.3% on Drizly. Among ready-to-drink cocktails, dollar sales for lemonade varieties surged 71 percent, reflecting the flavor’s popularity across categories.

Nonalcoholic spirits led liquor category growth on Drizly, the company said.  Top-selling brands include Seedlip, St. Agrestis, Ritual, Lyre’s, and Ghia. Some 3.7 million barrels of beer were imported in May, up 5.2% from May 2022.   Mexican imported beer "was nearly the sole driver of growth for the imported beer segment this month, up approximately 350K barrels (+11.9%) compared to May of last year," the Beer
